Right-back Serginho Dest is looking for a new team after being released by Barcelona. Mundo Deportivo reported on Monday that Barcelona have terminated the American's contract after failing to find a buyer for his card.
The 22-year-old had a contract with Barcelona until 2025 and now has a high chance of finding a team because he is a free agent. Although he was in the preparatory phase with the Spanish team, Dest has not convinced coach Xavi Hernandez, who has given permission to release him.
In fact, he played the last 15 minutes of the 3-0 win over Real Madrid, but didn't put in a good performance.
Dest joined Barça in 2020 from Ajax, while last season he was loaned to Milan, a team that did not buy his card for 10 million euros.
