A person has been arrested by the Kosovo Police for burning the flag of Serbia during the basketball match between Vellaznim and Trepca. The fans of the Brotherhood of Gjakova, the Reds of Jakova, burned the flag of Serbia in the match played on Sunday night at the "Shani Nushi" gym.
The media in Serbian language in Kosovo and the media in Serbia had written about this case, which had assessed it as a scandal.
And the Kosovo Police announced on Tuesday that a criminal case has already been initiated for investigation. On the same day, in the afternoon, a suspect involved in this case was arrested, the Police announced.
The case has been described as "fomenting discord and impatience". The police have confirmed that the investigations are continuing, while the suspect has been ordered to be detained for 48 hours.
The burning of the Serbian flag happened while the fans, known for their pro-Albanian stance, were singing a song dedicated to Mitrovica. After the song about Mitrovica, "Ethnic Albania" was called. Such calls are common in Kosovar gyms. There is also the burning of the flag of Serbia from time to time.
The "Reds of Jakova" have posted a "communication for the Serbian media installed in Kosovo and Albania" through the "Facebook" page.
This fan group has warned that it will do the same in the future.

The Vellaznimi - Trepça match was dramatic. The brotherhood won and after the match all the fans started a well-known song dedicated to Gjakova and the KLA soldiers from this city.
