The European Handball Federation on Tuesday made new decisions for the continental championships of young age groups that were postponed to January next year. The decision also has an impact on the Kosovo National Teams.
Thus, the U20 European Championship of Division B, in which Kosovo was supposed to appear, has been completely cancelled. The European U20 should have been held in January in Latvia. Initially, the deadline was for summer 2020, but then it was postponed to January 2021, due to the situation created with the coronavirus. Now the EHF has completely canceled this European, same as other championships of this age group.
As for the U18 age group, the European Division B has not been canceled but has been postponed. The event scheduled to be held in January 2021 in Montenegro has been postponed to August next year. The European will now be held in Latvia, while Kosovo will participate.
Consequently, participation in the tournament in Bulgaria from November 12 to 15 has been cancelled. Other activities are planned for the U18 National Team during the next year.
