Judoka Akil Gjakova is satisfied with the bronze medal won at the Mediterranean Games. He said that the goal was the gold medal, but he is happy that he will return to Kosovo with a bronze medal.
Gjakova defeated the Italian Manuel Lombardo in the fight for third place. He competed in the category up to 73 kilograms.
"After a few races, I think I'm back well. Although I aimed for gold, I came third. After the fight with the Algerian, the draw was even more difficult to become third than first, because I had a world-class opponent. At the end of the day, I'm happy with my performance, but I'll move on. The main goal is the world championship", said Gjakova for the KOK.
