Captain Amir Abrashi has renewed his contract with the Grasshopper team, which expired at the end of this season. The Swiss team announced on Monday that with the renewal of the contract, Abrashi will be part of Grasshopper until the summer of 2024.
He also has the option of continuing for another year. Abrashi has been part of Grasshopper since the summer of 2021 when he joined from Freiburg and this season he has made 11 appearances in the Swiss football elite. Abrashi has previously been part of this club, with which he has recorded a total of 185 appearances in all competitions.
"It was a clear and very easy decision for me. I am very happy and I can't wait to play another year for my favorite club", said Abrashi.
"I thank the club leaders for the trust they have always had in me and I will continue to do my best to help the team on and off the field."
