Everton's penalty is reduced to 6 points

Everton football club's penalty for breaching the Premier League's financial rules has been reduced from ten points to six points following an appeal, the BBC reports.

The well-known club was given 10 points in November for violating the profit and sustainability rules in the three-year period, until the 2021/2022 edition.

The penalty, which was the heaviest in Premier League history, sent Everton from 14th to 19th in the English Championship. With the penalty reduction, Everton move from 17th to 15th. So the decision will have a big impact on the race for survival in the English football elite.
