From October 27 to 31, Pristina and Prizren will be filled with extraordinary sounds at the 24th edition of the "ReMusica" International Music Festival.

Letter to the Reader — Why We're Asking for Your Support ContributeFestival volunteer Drita Rudi, while accompanying the children to the activity, said that they had been looking forward to making instruments using plastic and each had come up with different ideas to create a musical instrument.
"Today's activity is part of ReMusica Junior, where different activities are organized for children every year. Today, they are making instruments with recyclable materials. They were surprised when they learned what they would be making, they are things that are usually thrown away, but today we are turning them into musical instruments," says Rudi.
The children made castanets, drums, tambourines, violins, and many other instruments from recyclable materials, in order to develop awareness of environmental protection and not throwing these materials on the ground.
"Castanets, paper boxes filled with rice and beans, they are making music with them. Today, the students have also prepared drums, and the goal of the activity is to preserve the environment for a better future. In the coming days, we will also have concerts and the construction of other instruments with different children. It is something that brings them closer to music and introduces them to its world," emphasizes Rudi.
The first activity was held with the children of the "Prenk Jakova" school, but it will not be the only one. During this week, other children in the capital will also have the opportunity to create similar instruments in the following days.
"These children are from the 'Prenk Jakova' school, but on Friday the activity will be open to all children in the capital," says Rudi.
Second grade student at this school, Jona Tolaj, has been making her favorite instrument, the violin, using detergent bottles.
"The teachers told us on Thursday about the activity we will hold on Monday and told us to bring plastic things. I told them that I know how to make a violin out of plastic. I worked on it at home over the weekend and brought it today. I took a bottle of detergent, colored it and made my favorite violin. I like it a lot, when I grow up I want to be a singer or a pilot," Tolaj emphasizes.
This edition of "ReMusica Junior" brings a special program for children, which includes concerts, workshops and interactive activities designed to stimulate their curiosity and creativity.
This year, with the theme "Contrasts", the festival brings a unique journey between tradition and modernity, where styles intertwine and create a special harmony. Also planned are 18 concerts and over 160 prominent artists from the international and local scene, panel discussions, workshops and other activities.
