The Statistics Agency in Kosovo has recently launched a link where you can search for your name and find out how many people have the same name and in which municipalities that name is most common.
Although Kosovo has about 1.7 million inhabitants, the names that are used are much less in numbers. According to the head of the Information Systems Division at the Kosovo Statistics Agency, there are a total of 74 names in our country.
Although there are almost 80.000 names, for both the female and male genders, there is one name that is used the most.
If your name is Fatima, then you are the 11.471st in Kosovo, and as for the name Bajram, there are 11.366 others who share your name.
The naming of babies in Kosovo has gone through different periods of time, adapting to historical, political, national developments and many different factors.
From Fatima and Bajram, which have 11.000 users of the name, in Kosovo it turns out that there are also more special names, which leave an impression when they are heard for the first time.
