In the next story we will learn more about family planning, especially in Kosovo. Through it, we will understand how many Kosovar couples have started doing family planning for some time now, which has been influenced by many factors.
Many years ago, almost every Kosovar family was characterized by the large number of children and by living in a single house. But, since the end of the war in Kosovo, this way of life has undergone major changes. Now, a family mainly consists of two parents, and on average two children. Such planning was done by Leonora Ajeti from Pristina.
According to her, all couples should do such a thing, so that each of the children will have the conditions for real growth. This way of family planning, even though it has influenced the reduction of the birth rate in the country, according to sociologist Vebi Mujku, is the result of many factors.
But, in order to teach couples how such planning should be done, Mujku says that there should be counseling in Kosovo. Gynecologist Memli Morina says that family planning is significantly higher even among his patients.
Family planning gives couples the right to decide on the number and spacing of children, as well as the method of having a child.
