They were inherited for centuries from generation to generation, resisting time.
The seven mills of the three brothers from the Azemi, Dema and Latifi neighborhoods in the village of Pollatë, a few kilometers from Podujeva, weaved their own history over the years.
Of them, only 3 survived the time, but due to the small number of inhabitants, currently only one is functional.
According to history connoisseurs, these mills during the years 1998-99 served 12 thousand inhabitants for grinding wheat and corn from all over Kosovo.
Meanwhile, it is currently serving 150 residents in 20 houses of Pollatë village.

The importance of the mill for the inhabitants over the years was very great, but the historian says that now its importance is fading as the villages have started to be left without inhabitants.
Inside Afrim Azemi's mill, each part has an interesting history, starting from when this mill performed two functions, grinding wheat and corn.
Accompanying facilities such as a waiting room and animal shelter make this mill even more special.
The story of Pollata mills does not end there.
The head of the village, Fadil Ademi, also tells about the twin mills in the Dema neighborhood. He showed the specifics that out of 7 days of the week, families had only 1 day to grind flour.
Ademi shows that it is not so easy to grind corn and wheat, since, according to him, it requires time and adequate tools.
The head of the village says that years ago everything was different, when flour was weighed with hundreds of years old tools.
For these old mills, the historian Afrim Azemi and the mayor of the village, Fadil Ademi, had a request for the institutions - that the mills of the village be in the protection of the cultural heritage.
