Eddie Murphy returns with the fourth movie "Beverly Hills Cop"

The wait came to an end. Comedy star Eddie Murphy is reprising his role as smart and unconventional cop Axel Foley in the fourth installment of the world-famous Beverly Hills Cop series, which opens soon in Netflix.

After the life of police officer Axel Foley's daughter is threatened, he and his daughter are forced to join forces with a new partner and Foley's old friends to uncover a conspiracy.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylor Paige, Paul Reiser, Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Bronson Pinchot and Kevin Bacon also star in the upcoming film directed by Mark Molloy.

The first Beverly Hills Cop movie, directed by director Martin Brest, was released in 1984 and was a huge success, earning more than $300 million at the box office. The next two sequels were released in 1987 directed by Tony Scott and in 1994 directed by John Landis.

The latest sequel titled "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" begins streaming on the digital platform Netflix on July 3.
