In this interview, Aferdita shares with us her experiences and thoughts on leadership and women's empowerment in the workplace.

How did your journey at Concentrix begin and what inspired you to pursue a career in the BPO sector?

With 26 years of experience in various industries, my journey in the BPO sector has been guided by my strong belief in the transformative power of a motivated team. My inspiration has been to create a work environment where everyone can develop and feel valued. At Concentrix, I have seen how resilience and collaboration can turn challenges into opportunities. This has shaped my leadership philosophy, which is centered around a commitment to diversity and the empowerment of every individual.

How would you describe your leadership style and how does it help develop your team?

My leadership is based on authenticity and empathy. I am fortunate to work with a team that values innovation and collaboration. Together, we create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to challenge the status quo. By promoting open dialogue and valuing diverse perspectives, we have built a culture of trust that drives passion and great results.

What are some of the most important lessons you have learned during your career?

One of the most powerful lessons I have learned is that authentic leadership is based on emotional intelligence and openness to others. By creating a supportive environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop, we can foster real growth. This approach informs my work style: open approach, active engagement, and commitment to team development.

What advice would you give to young women aiming for leadership positions in the BPO sector?

My advice is simple: your place is at the table where decisions are made! Don't hesitate to engage and value your unique skills. Your perspectives and talent are your superpowers to bring about significant change. Find mentors who inspire you and always speak up for your ideas and ambitions.

What has been the most satisfying moment in your professional journey?

The most important thing for me has been watching my team transform. Leading and mentoring young leaders within the People Solutions team, across four Balkan countries and supporting over 2,200 employees, fills me with pride. Helping them grow as professionals and individuals gives me the motivation to continue investing in their talent and development.

How has Concentrix impacted your professional development and how does the company support the growth of women in leadership?

Concentrix has been a key enabler of my professional growth, providing unparalleled opportunities through mentoring and leadership programs that promote inclusive growth. The company has a deep commitment to diversity and women's empowerment, creating an environment where they are not only encouraged, but also supported to lead with confidence and authenticity.
