Police in Istria, Croatia, announced on Monday that a 23-year-old citizen from Bosnia and Herzegovina, reportedly a Serb, had waved the Republika Srpska flag from a hotel balcony last week. The flag-waving was done in full view of the public, and a video of the moment has been released.
Thus, the Serb caused a public uproar and was punished, Croatian media reported.
The Republika Srpska flag was confiscated, and the young man was fined for a misdemeanor. He was also expelled from the Republic of Croatia and banned from entering for six months.
The video shows many young people on the hotel balcony. Chetnik songs are also heard.
