The Italian police caught the 103-year-old woman who was driving with an expired driver's license

Italian police have arrested what is believed to be one of the oldest traffic offenders of all time, who was driving with an expired driver's license and her personal documents showed she was 103 years old.

A pensioner born in 1920 was driving her car in the middle of the night in the center of the small Italian town of Bondeno in the north of the country, local authorities announced on Tuesday.

She attracted attention because she was driving too fast around one in the morning and had driven down the same roads several times.

During a routine check, the police found that the 103-year-old's driver's license had expired two years ago and she did not even have a car insurance document. Due to these violations, the car was confiscated.

The police then took the 103-year-old home.

When asked where she was going, she replied that she was going to visit friends who live out of town.

Bondeno is a small town in the Emilia-Romagna region with about 15 inhabitants.
