Police horses escape and enter the Ohio highway

Motorists in Ohio were surprised to see two police horses in front of them, moving on the opposite side of traffic on the highway.

The AP wrote that the horses blocked traffic, forcing drivers to slow down. The animals were said to have escaped from the stables of the Police Department, and entered the highway where the tollway with cars was large.

Local police said the horses were being trained when they escaped.

"Officers immediately found both horses, secured them, and there was no further incident," Ohio authorities said in a statement.
