The 27-year-old sets a world record underwater

Descriptive Text

A brave swimmer set a world record, swimming almost 140 meters underwater.

Upi wrote that Valentina Cafolla dived into Lago di Anterselva in Italy, without an oxygen tank.

She broke the 2017 record set by Japanese athlete Yasuko Ozeki, who had gone nearly 120 meters.

The 27-year-old, who has Italian and Croatian citizenship, had her record verified just 36 hours after reaching Ozeki.

This is considered rare and few believe it can be surpassed.
