Terence Crawford defeated Uzbekistan's Israil Madrimov by unanimous decision on Saturday night in Los Angeles, winning the WBA super-welterweight world title.
Crawford has now won world titles in four different categories.
For Crawford it was the first fight in the super welterweight category. The jury scored the fight 116:112, 115:113 and 115:113 in favor of Crawford who is undefeated in 41 bouts in professional boxing.
Crawford was the undisputed super lightweight and welterweight champion, as well as the world lightweight champion.
Crawford has also talked about a possible showdown with Canelo Alvarez, the reigning super middleweight champion.
"If the offer is good, then we have to fight," Crawford said.
The 29-year-old Madrimov from Uzbekistan fought for the first time since becoming world champion this year.
