The danger of artificial sweeteners

Artificial sweeteners are used by the food industry to sweeten various products.

But doctors advise people that they should know how dangerous these additives are and that they are more dangerous than sugar.

According to a report by the "Cleveland Clinic", aspartame is one of the sweeteners that is considered quite dangerous and is found in many products such as fruit juices, carbonated drinks, fat-free yogurt and many packaged deserts.
According to them, this ingredient is dangerous and, in addition to causing obesity and diabetes, it can also cause premature menstrual cycles in girls, mental stress, depression, and autism in babies who are in the womb of mothers who consume products with aspartame.

Artificial sweeteners may have fewer calories, but they bring many concerns about various health issues.

When these sweeteners are compared to sugar, it turns out that sugar is better than them. But experts show that sugar itself is quite harmful to health.

"Indeed in general sweet things are dangerous. But when we compare them, artificial sweeteners are much more dangerous than sugar," said Dr. Melissa Young.

Artificial sweeteners are compounds designed to taste like sugar but have fewer calories.

A medium spoonful of sugar has 16 calories, while the same amount of many of these sweeteners has only 3 calories.
Also Young has shown that there are many types of sweet alcohols that are used by the industry to sweeten food. Part of them are xylitol, erythritol, sorbitol and malitol, which are harmful to health.
When these sweet alcohols enter the body, they are fermented by bacteria in the colon. This then causes gas, which causes bloating, pain and diarrhea. In this case, erythritol may increase the risk of heart disease.

In addition to being addictive, artificial sweeteners also cause other problems in the body such as obesity, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
