Firefighters in California have rescued a 13-year-old blind dog that had fallen into a pit, the AP agency reports.
According to "KABC-TV", the dog, named Cesar, had been living with his owner near the Pasadena workplace. The dog had entered the workplace, said its owner Mary, who declined to give her last name.
Cesar fell into the pit, 4.5 meters deep and nearly 1 meter wide.
Mary was alarmed by the dog's barking. She noticed that Cesar is not in the yard. While a team of rescuers and firefighters in Pasadena soon responded.
Once the dog was found, it took the team nearly 12 minutes to reach and rescue the dog.
Cesar looked healthy and untroubled.
