The record for the world's longest beard is broken

An Alabama resident has broken the world record for the longest beard.

Currently, the "braids" of his beard reached a length of 1.07 meters.

Rudolf Martino, who moved to Birmingham from California in 2015, has won the Guinness World Records title for the longest natural beard, surpassing the length of the world's shortest woman.

Martino told Guinness World Records that the inspiration for his unique beard style comes from the holy men of India and Jamaican Rastafarians, who borrowed this look from India.

He explained that he washes his braids once every two weeks, and it takes two to three days for them to dry completely.

Martino stressed that he has no intention of cutting his beard for a long time.

"Just as a tree has roots, branches, leaves and some fruit, I have my hair as a symbol - its roots, length and strength," he said.

This unusual record is another example of the different ways in which people express their individuality and connection to culture, nature and themselves.
