A parrot was arrested in Brazil, in the state of Piau. The bird had been instructed by his master, a drug dealer, to alert him if the police came and to act as the postman.
"Police mom" was the key phrase.
On Monday, April 22, agents managed to capture the two. The dealer tried to escape, but the police arrested the dealer and another woman.
Along with the couple, the police also took the parrot, which is now in a local zoo.
The news, reported by the Brazilian press and the Washington Post, immediately went viral.
A Brazilian journalist said that after the arrest, the bird did not make a sound, but remained silent.
This is not the first time a parrot has been involved in drug trafficking.
In 2010, in Colombia, the same thing happened to another bird.
He was trained to call out: "Run, Run!" in Spanish as soon as he saw a policeman./oranews
