The Albanian in Rome donates bread to the poor, says "I have experienced hunger"

An Italian media has devoted an article to an Albanian named Edmond Prenga. He is the owner of a bakery in Rome and because of the unemployment and poverty that Italians can face, he has decided to donate bread, reports Shqip.

The 39-year-old Albanian has decided to produce bread in his bakery called "Bon Pan", for those who cannot afford to buy it, hanging the bags in front of the oven and a sign that reads: If you need it, this is for you! ,

He says that this is the best solution so that they don't feel embarrassed and ashamed to ask for bread.

"I have tried hunger. When I arrived in Italy in 1998 I didn't have a penny. I know these problems well. Italy fed me. So I decided to leave bread for those in need because I thought they might be ashamed to ask.

We grew up with the myth of Italy when we were children. We dreamed of coming here one day. The relationship between us Albanians and you Italians is strong. Today, Albania is recovering, but it has not always been like this. I think that Edi Rama made a gesture that showed the great heart of the Albanians for the Italians".

Edmond's Bakery also offers home delivery. For Albanians who need to call 0645422232.
