Former CBS Philadelphia news anchor Jim Donovan has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest sock collection, totaling 1,531 unique pairs.
His love of colorful socks became well-known during his years on screen, as viewers began sending him new pairs, including socks with his face on them. The record was officially confirmed at the time of his retirement.
Donovan said that breaking a world record was an early dream, recalling that as a child he had browsed the record book and hoped to one day become a part of it.
