A man has received the Guinness World Record for creating the tallest structure with matchsticks - qibrit.
Richard Plaud from France said he spent 4,200 hours building his model with over 706,000 threads and 23 kilograms of glue after failing to qualify the first time.
"For eight years, I always thought I was building the tallest structure with matchsticks," he said.
Yes, Guinness told him the 7.2m structure did not qualify because he had not used the right material, the Guardian wrote.
Plaud began by using match threads, snapping the ends of each thread. Tired of the whole process, he asked the manufacturer if he could only buy the headless wooden sticks, causing Guinness to reject his application.

Mark Mckinley has said that he is happy that they were able to accept his structure in the end.
"We're happy to admit that we were a bit harsh on the type of match that was needed for this, and Richard's work is wonderful," Guinness's Mckinley said.
