Lake Ohrid today acquired the first semi-submarine, a floating structure, which is expected to be a new tourist attraction in Ohrid. It will be possible to see the underwater beauties of the lake up to almost two meters deep. Its capacity is up to 12 people and it was sent to Ohrid from Split, Croatia. It cannot fully submerge like a classic submarine.
There are opportunities for people to go down and look at the underwater world through facts. This is a type of stylized or advanced vessel with a glass bottom. The total depth of the object below the surface of the water is 1 meter and 35 centimeters", said Goran Ustijanoski, Captain of Ohrid.
The Semi Submarine is 10 meters long and 2.5 meters wide. It is expected to start work soon. The Port Authority in Ohrid expects that the number of such ships will increase in the future due to the attraction it offers. The price of this ship, which is owned by a company from Kavadar, is around 130 thousand euros.
