At a time when Italy is deepening the battle against the coronavirus, the isolated Germans, unable to offer help of any other nature, have chosen to express their support through music.
Residents of a neighborhood in the Bavarian city of Bamberg took out musical instruments on their balconies and began to sing as a sign of solidarity with Italy.
After watching videos of stranded Italians singing from the balconies of their homes, a group of Germans decided to sing the well-known Italian song "Bella Ciao".
One of the residents said that he never sang together with his neighbors and that their action was completely spontaneous, reports KOHA.
"When we saw the Italians singing because they were not allowed to leave their homes, we thought that this could happen to us too. We sang as a sign of solidarity for the world, in these difficult pandemic times".
Italy is now the country hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic. The number of dead there has already exceeded the total number of victims in China, the country of origin of the coronavirus. In the last 24 hours alone, 427 new deaths have been registered in Italy.
Faced with a serious situation in the neighborhood, solidarity with the Italians has been demonstrated by the Germans as well as the singer Betta from Spain.
