The Italian village in celebration awaits the birth of a baby after 23 years without any birth

A village in Genoa, Italy is getting ready to welcome the birth of a baby. This very common thing in every country of the world is a rare phenomenon in this village, where there has been no birth in the last 23 years.

The village, as reported by Shqip, has only 73 inhabitants and is officially the oldest municipality in Italy, with an average age of over 66 years.

The head of the municipality, Marco Gallizia, said: "We are the oldest country, but we live well here thanks to the clean air, there is no noise pollution and we consume the healthy products of our land. Now, thanks to a couple who moved to us for work reasons, we will have a new resident in our village. As soon as the Covid-19 emergency ends, we will have a big party because we have been waiting for a birth for 23 years".
