The prestigious American magazine "Forbes" has published its annual list of the best places in the world to live after retirement. Among the 24 countries selected from all continents, Albania occupies an important place among the 12 main European destinations.
Forbes analyzed 96 different locations around the world based on the cost of living, quality of healthcare, ease of obtaining a residence permit, political stability, and climate.
Four recommended Albanian cities
For Albania, the American magazine singles out four main cities as areas with the greatest potential to attract foreign retirees:
Tirana - as the main urban, cultural and administrative center;

Vlora and Saranda - as pearls of the southern coast, which offer a Mediterranean climate, exceptional beaches and an affordable lifestyle.

According to Forbes' analysis, the main advantages that make Albania one of the most favorable choices are:
