Jansen decided it would be a shame to simply bury his late feline friend, so he took inspiration from his pet's name - Orville Wright, one of the Wright Brothers, the inventors of flight. Jansen took Orville out, saved him, and turned him into a drone.
The reaction was huge. Jansen enlisted the help of technical engineer Arjen Beltman to design and help fly his half-cat, half-car creation. And this creation went viral in all the world media.
The "Orvillecopter," as Jansen calls it, was even taken for an exhibit at the Kunstrai art festival in Amsterdam, businessinsider wrote.
After this success, he wanted to experiment more. He sought the help of local farmers for a suitable animal. Someone replied with news of a dead candidate: an ostrich.
That was not all, Jansen and the engineer tried and created other similar projects with dead animals.
