A troublesome crocodile that preyed on children and adults in Australia was shot and cooked by local Aboriginal people, local authorities there said.
Skynews has reported that the 3.63 meter long reptile was "displaced" in the Baines River in the town of Bulla in the north of the area after the floods at the beginning of the year, and since then it has been disturbing the residents with its presence. After much discussion among the residents, it was once decided to shoot the crocodile to ensure that it would no longer pose a danger to the community. The crocodile was then taken to the town of Bulla, where the residents roasted it and cooked it to eat.
"It was a big and traditional party, we got fed up," said Sergeant Andrew McBride, who recounted the incident.
He added that the presence of crocodiles and alligators has increased after the recent floods.
"Crocodiles can pose a significant risk to community safety. Thanks to the cooperation with country park, our police staff and local residents, we were able to successfully remove the crocodile and maintain safety," the police authorities said in a statement.
