Why do airplanes usually have blue seats?

The trend of using blue seats on airplanes started several decades ago and is still current.

The most popular airlines choose blue seats as this color has a positive psychological effect on passengers.

Nigel Good, a well-known designer in the field of aviation, states that their main goal is to highlight the brand of the airline, but the main concern, according to him, is to create a comfortable interior that provides a pleasant environment and reduces stress during travel.

Good points out that the color blue has a calming effect and is intended to create a less stressful experience for passengers. This color promotes calm and according to Angela Wright, author of "A Guide to Color Psychology", blue is associated with positive attributes such as confidence, efficiency, joy and freshness.

Wright adds that, given the frequent in-flight anxiety, blue was chosen for its relaxing and calming effect.
