During his stay in New York, Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with representatives of states, including the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He also discussed with them the Special Court's conviction, which he called unjust.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti also discussed the verdict of the Special Court, in the meeting held with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Kurti has once again expressed the position that the verdict is unfair.
"With President Erdoğan, we also discussed the legally and morally unjust and historically and factually incorrect verdict announced last week by the Specialist Chambers in The Hague against former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, which must definitely be corrected in the Appeals Court," Kurti wrote in a post on social media.
And, in the announcement that the Turkish Presidency made about the meeting, the Special Forces were not mentioned. However, it expressed Erdogan's commitment to expanding cooperation in the field of defense.

"During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that both countries will continue to take steps to increase trade volume in a manner that suits their potential, as well as to further develop cooperation in the field of security and the defense industry," the statement said.
Kurti has also met with American officials and state leaders.
He has discussed with the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Kurti said that it is time for a new, significant step in relations between the two states.
"We expressed our readiness to sign the memorandum for the Joint Cooperation Commission, which will give our relations new opportunities and a stable framework. We agreed that we will soon conclude the agreements on the avoidance of double taxation and the agreement on investment protection," Kurti said.

Erdogan vows to support Kosovo in defense industry
Kurti has requested Kuwait's support for Kosovo to gain observer status in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The Prime Minister also met with US Congressman Joe Wilson, who is co-chair of the US Helsinki Commission and a member of the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees. He stressed that during the meeting, Kosovo's goal of NATO membership, the continuation and advancement of cooperation with the United States, as well as the KSF's partnership with the Iowa National Guard, which dates back to 2011, was discussed.
