Peter Sorensen visited some of the border crossings between Kosovo and Serbia on Tuesday. He assessed on this occasion that the free movement of people and goods is one of the key points for integration into the European Union. He also stayed in the north
The European Union's special envoy for dialogue, Peter Sorensen, on Tuesday, on the second day of his visit to Kosovo, visited some of the joint border crossings with Serbia.
Sorensen announced the information he received about these crossing points through a post on social media, where he also published photos from the visit to the border crossing in Muçibaba.
On Platform X, he wrote that among the key points of integration into the European Union is the free movement of people and goods.
"It is impressive to see and learn about the common crossing points. While much has been done, we must resume the remaining work without delay. It is about allowing people and goods to move freely - a cornerstone of integration into the European Union," Sorensen wrote.
Sorensen also stayed in the north on Tuesday, but did not share details about this visit.
Sorensen began his first visit to Kosovo since being appointed Miroslav Lajcak's successor in facilitating the dialogue on Monday, when he held meetings with institutional and party leaders.
He called the talks held with President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi a good start.
And after separate meetings with leaders and representatives of PDK, LDK, and AAK, Sorensen emphasized that everyone in Kosovo is aware that the normalization process with Serbia is important for the country and that it should be supported by everyone.
After Kosovo, Sorensen is also expected to visit Serbia.
