Fatmir Sheholli, suspected of espionage, has been sentenced to one month in pre-trial detention. The Prosecution's file states that he was recruited by the Serbian BIA and had specific tasks, with which he violated security and legal order in Kosovo.
Fatmir Sheholli was taken into custody on Friday morning, at the Basic Court in Pristina, where the Special Prosecution's request to place him in pre-trial detention was approved.
The preliminary procedure judge justified the decision against the espionage suspect, and said that if he is released, he could flee and be elusive to the justice system, since he is suspected of a high-risk criminal offense.
"The criminal offense charged against the defendant F. SH. falls within the chapter of criminal offenses against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo, which offense particularly endangers the institutions and functioning of the constitutional order of the Republic of Kosovo," the reasoning states.
And in the request for pre-trial detention, made by the Prosecution, data is provided on some evidence that proves Sheholli's connection with the Serbian State Security, BIA.
In the document obtained by KOHA, it is stated that Sheholli, in his capacity as a person recruited by the Serbian BIA, has provided continuous assistance to him.

"Acting on the orders and instructions of the senior BIA official, Bojan Dimić... collected data, information and documents related to the 'allegedly usurped' properties of the Serbian community in Kosovo, in relation to business activities, as well as the state and functioning of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, which information he then forwarded to the senior BIA official through communications and telephone messages," the Prosecution's request states.
In this document from the Special Prosecution, it is stated that with this information that Sheholli forwarded to the BIA, security and legal order in Kosovo were violated.
According to the prosecution, on instructions from the BIA, Sheholli has also collected and published information in online media.
"It has been established that on 26.09.2025, at around 14:00, according to the instructions and operational plan prepared by the BIA's card officer, Bojan Dimić, the defendant Sheholli, together with his wife and his Audi car, went to North Mitrovica and when they arrived at the parking lot of the technical school, from a person unknown so far, he received audio materials and transcripts of conversations of several senior officials of the Ministry of Communities and Returns, which are suspected of being compromising, as well as a sum of money as a reward for their publication, which materials were then published in online media in Kosovo," the security request further states.
