Albanian President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama visited Kosovo on Monday, a day before the 18th anniversary of Independence. Interstate relations were said to have been the topic of meetings between state leaders and Prime Minister Rama.
According to a statement from the Office of the President, the Osmani-Rama meeting also discussed intensifying cooperation in foreign policy.

"Both leaders emphasized the importance of continuous Kosovo-Albania coordination as a factor of peace and stability in the region, as well as the constructive role of both states in international initiatives that promote peace and cooperation. During the meeting, cooperation within the Peace Board was also discussed, emphasizing the importance of joint engagement in global initiatives that promote dialogue, security and democratic values," the Office of the Presidency said in a statement.
Prime Minister Kurti welcomed his counterpart from Albania with a state ceremony.
There was no conference from them, but the Prime Minister's Office said about the meeting that interstate relations, intergovernmental agreements, and infrastructure projects were among the main topics of discussion.
"Prime Minister Rama congratulated Prime Minister Kurti on the victory in the December 28 elections and on the formation of the Government, for which Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude and the will of the Government he leads to strengthen and expand relations between Kosovo and Albania in the service of the citizens and the entire nation," the Prime Minister's Office said in a statement.
