In the party, since its founding and for two decades led by Hashim Thaçi, and for several years by Kadri Veseli, they have said that Wednesday should be a holiday.

In a press conference, the MP of this political entity, Përparim Gruda, expressed his expectation that the Special Chamber will announce an acquittal verdict, both for Thaçi and Veseli, as well as for Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.

"Tomorrow we want to celebrate. We want to see Hashim Thaçi, Kadi Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi free and on their way back to Kosovo. Until then, our responsibility is clear. We will defend the truth about the KLA war," Gruda said.

And, if the verdict is different from expectations, Gruda said that PDK will oppose it, demanding justice based on evidence.

He also spoke about public announcements and warnings regarding the organization of citizen gatherings on September 16.

Gruda said that this has created anxiety among citizens.

"As PDK, we have followed with concern some public reactions of recent days, which have created unnecessary anxiety among citizens. In such moments, all public actors have a responsibility to act with prudence and caution," he said.

But the deputy mayor of Pristina, Besiana Musmurati, who belongs to the PDK, said during the day that she does not expect peace in Pristina and other parts of Kosovo in the event of a guilty verdict. In such a circumstance, she said that she expects a civic reaction.
