The opposition does not trust the Government for the dialogue, insists on its overthrow

Dialogue with Serbia, problems with textbooks and suspicions of corruption are among the issues for which the opposition says the current government should be dismissed. Although in the first meeting of the Presidency after the start of the autumn session there was an agreement on the appointment of the session for Thursday, the opposition parties warned that their commitment will be to shorten the mandate of this government

Between the government's expectations for more efficiency and the opposition's warning to interrupt the mandate of the current Government, the work of the autumn session of the Assembly of Kosovo has begun.

At the Presidency meeting on Monday, it was decided that the next session will be held on September 15, where the agenda will be the review of several international agreements, as well as the continuation of the session on school books.

The progress of the dialogue with Serbia is among the topics for which the opposition considers that the Kurti Government no longer has the legitimacy to stay in power.

"As long as we are sanctioned by the EU and the USA, we cannot talk about Kosovo's advantages. This is a great damage that this government has done to the country. It cannot prejudge the next meeting on February 14 due to the lack of transparency and non-implementation of the resolutions so far. Today the country is in an unenviable situation in relation to its partners, therefore the commitment is to shorten the life of this government. The continuation of this government means the continuation of the isolation of the country. People are not seeing perspective and the tendency to leave the country is worrying", said Tahiri.

Tahiri has described as degradation and humiliation the way the Government is trying to shorten the mandate of the Albanian leaders in the north.

The LDK have warned that they will behave in the Assembly depending on the attitude of the Government regarding the dialogue and voting of draft laws in the Assembly.

"LDK has supported international agreements with the exception of those that are superficial, such as the one on social supervision. Other agreements when they did not receive the LDK vote were the opportunistic behavior of this government. As for the dialogue, we have no expectations as the wiretapping has also shown the true face of the dialogue and this government. Serbia continues to be favored in these meetings", said Zemaj.

The head of the Parliamentary Group of AAK, Besnik Tahiri, has said that in the next session their leader, Ramush Haradinaj, will reveal some positions about the dialogue.

"The way the dialogue is currently being conducted, it is holding Kosovo hostage, deepening the crisis and damaging the country internally and externally... the 9 months of this year's assembly have been the most failed months and period and with fewer results. We have a parliamentary majority, but I would ask the citizens if they know that the vote is any law to regulate their lives. Now we have to be efficient in two or three topics that are important for us", said Tahiri.

But the head of the parliamentary group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, has spoken about the readiness of the Kosovar side to normalize relations with Serbia.

The session of the Assembly will be held on September 14, the day when the high-level meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will take place in Brussels.
