From next week, the Pediatric Hospital is expected to offer the magnetic resonance service, although it was promised that it would be operational from January of this year. The inauguration of this equipment was attended by Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, who also promised to equip other hospitals with magnetic resonance.

Although it was promised that it would be operationalized in January, magnetic resonance was inaugurated in the Pediatric Hospital at KKUK only on Monday.

For this project realized by a donation from the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister Kurti congratulated the health staff and said that this is a very important achievement.

Kurti has said that they want to have as much decentralization of medical services as possible, therefore, according to him, in the fall Prizren will also undergo magnetic resonance.

"After the functionalization of the magnetic resonance in the Peja Hospital, we are also doing this in the Pediatric Hospital here at KKUK, meanwhile in the fall we will have the magnetic resonance in the Prizren Hospital as well. On the one hand, we want to have decentralization of increasingly high-quality services, to have the best possible diagnosis for all patients and to have the shortest possible waiting lists for patients", stated Kurti.

Minister Vitia said that this inauguration comes after an intensification of work, among other things, to shorten the waiting list for treatment.

Patients cannot yet receive the service offered by magnetic resonance, as the one-week training of staff to work with magnetic resonance has only just begun.
