Prime Minister Albin Kurti was received in Zagreb by his counterpart Andrej Plenkovic, and both confirmed the close relations between Kosovo and Croatia. In the joint address before the media, Kurti made Serbia responsible for the attacks in the north and called this country paramilitary. And, Plenkovic has called for deep investigations.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that Serbia is a paramilitary state and that it is also responsible for the terrorist attacks of recent years in Kosovo.
After being received in Zagreb by his counterpart, Andrej Plenkovic, the prime minister said at the press conference that he also counts on allies, such as Croatia, to protect the border.
"My impression is that Serbia is only formally a republic, while it is impossible to become a kingdom even in content. Therefore, in this void, they have become, as we have known for a long time, a paramilitary state. Milan Radoicic is sent to us to carry out terrorist actions and students are beaten around Belgrade. We know from historical experience how this ends. But it seems that Belgrade has not learned anything from its past", said Kurti.
And, the Croatian Prime Minister laid out the need for deep investigations into all the attacks in the north.
"This incident is not new, it is not isolated, it has followed three major incidents and attacks that have occurred over the last year and a half, which, of course, as far as Croatia is concerned, have been analyzed in detail and they were received with great concern", said Plenkovic.
Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that, through orchestrated attacks in Kosovo, Serbia has changed its targets, from institutions to the civilian population.
"Earlier we had attacks on the Kosovo Police, we had attacks on official municipal buildings, but this time the target is the civilian population, because the water supply and the production of electricity, which is vital for both citizens and businesses, was targeted", said Kurti.
Both prime ministers have stated the need to respect the basic agreement reached between Kosovo and Serbia.
"We want normalization of relations, with mutual recognition. We have the agreement in Brussels from February 27 of last year and the implementation Annex from March 18 in Ohrid. We must respect and implement it. "Kosovo is constructive, dedicated and always creative in finding solutions as two independent states aiming for European neighborhood," said Kurti.
"We believe in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia that results in normalization and ends with mutual recognition and functioning that leads to the position that Kosovo undertakes the journey towards the EU", added the Prime Minister of Croatia.
During the visit, many agreements were signed between the ministers of both governments, including those related to the field of security.
