Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that all the necessary consultations are being carried out, as well as housework related to the opening of the central bridge over the Ibër river in Mitrovica. While he has not given a date when it can be opened for vehicle traffic, Kurti has emphasized that the preliminary draft for the physical stability of the Bridge is currently being handled, as well as preparations are being made for the adjustment of the appearance around it. This issue will also be a topic of discussion in the visits of high European officials, which Kurti has warned for the following days

After the visit to the United States of America during the past week, Prime Minister Albin Kurti spoke on Wednesday from the Government meeting about the high-ranking guests he received within a period of a few days. 

Kurti has warned that after the stay in Kosovo of the head of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), William Burns, and admiral, Stuart Munsch, who is the commander of the NATO Joint Forces Command in Naples, there will also be other important visits in the coming days. 

"Their support is unwavering, the cooperation broad and powerful, while the common commitment is serious and productive, in the service of peace and security, which go hand in hand with the rule of law and order, as well as with democratic and economic progress. Tomorrow, Mr. Thomas Goffus, assistant secretary general for NATO operations, is coming to visit, today the Danish delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is coming, while next week we will welcome two foreign ministers of two member states of NATO", said the chief executive. 

According to Kurti, the opening of the central bridge over the Ibër river in Mitrovica will also be discussed in these meetings. He also spoke about the Bridge, he said that the "housework" is being done. 

"In all these meetings, of course, the issue of opening the central bridge over the Ibër River in Mitrovica is also discussed, for which we are doing all the necessary consultations, as well as our household chores, such as, for example, the treatment of the preliminary draft for the physical stability of the Bridge, while we wait for the final report, up to the preparations for the adjustment of the appearance and the cleaning of the surrounding environment. Opening the Bridge is freedom of movement. Freedom of movement is a fundamental right both in the Republic of Kosovo and in the European Union", added Kurti. 

The visits of senior American and NATO officials took place at a time when the United States (USA), the European Union (EU), but also the mission of the military alliance in Kosovo - KFOR - opposed the Government's intention to open Bridge at this time. Foreign diplomats have criticized the Government for uncoordinated actions, after the warning about the opening of the Bridge. The American ambassador to Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, said last week that his country has been challenged in several ways by the Kurti Government. 

On Wednesday, Kurti also emphasized that during his visit to the USA, he called for increased pressure on Serbia to hand over to the authorities in Kosovo, Milan Radoicić, who took responsibility for the September 24 terrorist attack. in Banjska of Zveçan, in which the sergeant of the Kosovo Police, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed.

Currently, two parallel investigations are underway against Milan Radoicic, former vice-president of the Serbian List, related to the September 24 attack in Banjska - one in Serbia and the other in Kosovo. The Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo has not yet filed an indictment against Radoicic and his group. 

A few weeks after the attack, Radoici was arrested in Serbia. He is being defended in freedom, even though the Serbian Prosecutor's Office has charged him with suspicions of conspiracy, illegal possession of weapons and a serious crime against general security.
