In the court session held at the Basic Court in Ferizaj, where the parties gave the final word on this case, the prosecutor Valdet Avdiu said that his request is similar to the one in the preliminary examination of this case. "I have nothing else to add, I remain entirely to give the final word in the past review. Apart from what we mentioned. "The court does not trust the defendant, and those claims of the defendant do not stand," said Avdiu
On Thursday, the prosecution requested a meritorious sentence for Dardan Krivaqa and Arbër Sejdiu, accused of raping and then killing Marigona Osmani.
In the court session held at the Basic Court in Ferizaj, where the parties gave the final word on this case, prosecutor Valdet Avdiu said that his request is similar to the one in the preliminary examination of this case.
"I have nothing else to add, I remain entirely to give the final word in the past review. Apart from what we have mentioned, the court does not trust the defendant and those claims of the defendant do not stand", said Avdiu.
Gazmend Rexhepi, the lawyer of Marigona Osmani's family, requested the maximum sentence.
"We ask the jury to announce a meritorious sentence, that is, to announce a sentence of life imprisonment to the accused", he said.
Marigona Osmani's father, Muhabi Osmani, supported the lawyer's request and denied the claims of the main accused that the deceased was a user of narcotics.
"My late daughter, Marigona, was not a drug user, everyone at school, in society, in the neighborhood knew her as a good girl," he said.
E Skender Musa, the lawyer of the accused Dardan Krivaqa, requested that when making the decision, the court should consider the extenuating circumstances.
"The court must provide evidence, analyze exculpatory and incriminating evidence and respect the rights of the accused", he stressed.
The accused Dardan Krivaqa also supported his lawyer's statement and said that he felt sorry for the case. Meanwhile, Arbnora Shefkiu, the lawyer of the accused, Arbër Sejdiu, has emphasized that no evidence proves that her client committed the crimes for which he is accused.
"Of all the charges that Arbër Sejdiu is accused of, there is no evidence that he committed the crimes for which he is accused, and we have never tried to justify the death of Marigona Osmani", she said.
In addition to agreeing with the final speech of his lawyer, the accused Sejdiu did not declare anything in the final speech.
The announcement of the judgment related to the case is scheduled for July 29.
The Basic Court of Ferizaj on August 4 of last year sentenced Krivaqa to life imprisonment, but the Court of Appeal then decided to return the case to a retrial.
