The man who allegedly stabbed four people in Ferizaj on Monday was previously convicted of murdering a woman.
In the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Ferizaj, they said that initially another person was arrested by mistake, since he matched the suspect's profile.
The spokeswoman of the Prosecutor's Office, Vjosa Baftiu, said on Tuesday that the suspect has been taken into custody and within 48 hours a detention measure will be requested against him.
"The first case of the slaughter of two minors happened on 'Rifat Berisha' street, then the same one continued in the location, specifically on 'Enver Topalli' street, where he attacked the third victim and then continued on the street" Halim Spahia' and also attacked the fourth victim", said Baftiu.
KOHA has sent questions to the Basic Court in Ferizaj regarding the criminal past of the FI suspect, how long he stayed in prison, when he was released and whether he was rehabilitated during his time behind bars.
The Court's response states that the official identification of the suspect has not yet been made.
"Until now, the Basic Court in Ferizaj has not accepted any request from the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Ferizaj regarding the suspect, whom you mentioned, and therefore we cannot offer any answer as it has not yet been announced the official identification of the suspect, because in order to identify the final judgments against the same, we would have to have more information than the first and last name", the court's response states.
Two of the four victims of Monday's attack underwent surgery.
The director of the Intensive Clinic at KKUK, Shaqir Uka, said that their health condition is stable, although they have received serious injuries.
"The injuries are serious, they are injuries in the chest region, which also affected the lung tissue, which were reasons for surgical intervention. At the moment, both patients appear to be in a relatively stable condition in terms of vital parameters and they continue to receive further medical treatment, being monitored all the time and being connected to the medical apparatus", stated Uka.
The other two injured, a minor girl and a man, received treatment at Ferizaj Hospital.
