The accused does not admit that he pushed his son to commit murder in a shopping mall in Podujevo.

The accused in the murder in a shopping mall in Podujevo, where the victim was in the presence of his wife and child, has denied his role in this tragic event. Arsim Syla is accused of inciting his son, a minor at the time, to commit the murder in 2023.

Arsim Syla, accused in connection with the murder of the citizen with the initials VB in a shopping center in Podujeva, in 2023, has denied having any influence, role or participation in this case.

According to the Prosecution, Syla is accused of having ordered his then-minor son to kill the victim after a previous conflict, now with the late VB.

But the defendant Syla denied the Prosecution's claims during his defense on Monday at the Basic Court in Pristina.

"I left before everything happened to me. When I went home, I saw a police patrol, and that's when I found out that they had also raided my house," Syla said.

According to the indictment, on the tragic day, the defendant Syla directed his minor son LS towards the victim VB, who followed him, while the defendant himself continued to leave the building.

Syla has disputed this claim of the prosecution.

"It doesn't lead the child to commit a crime, it doesn't ruin their life...", he said.

Asked if he had previously known the victim, defendant Syla stated that he did not know her until 2022.

"No, I didn't know him until 2022..", he added.

According to the indictment, when the now deceased VB, his wife LS and their child arrived at the dairy products section, the minor LS approached them from behind and shot them twice in the victim's direction.

Arsim Syla is accused of having committed the criminal offense of "aggravated murder" in complicity with the minor LS.
