Along with the excavations in the village of Kalluder, where there is a suspected mass grave with the remains of Albanian civilians, the arrests of suspects are also continuing. On Saturday night, a Serbian suspect for war crimes was also arrested in Zubin Potok.
The third suspect for war crimes has also been arrested in Zubin-Potok, where for five days now in the village of this municipality - Kalludër, forensic teams have been conducting excavations in search of a mass grave, after finding human remains suspected of belonging to persons missing during the 1998-1999 war.
Through a joint statement, the Special Prosecution Office and the Kosovo Police announced that the suspect with the initials JR has been arrested.
"The suspect is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of 'War crimes against the civilian population'. The arrest of the suspect is the result of intensive investigative work, conducted by police investigators and the Special Prosecution, as part of the ongoing institutional commitment to the investigation and resolution of war crimes," the Special Prosecution said.
Authorities have announced that investigations into this case are ongoing, and Serbian media reports that it involves a person of Serbian nationality.
Earlier this week, two other people were arrested, also on suspicion of war crimes, and are now in custody.

Another person arrested for war crimes in Zubin Potok
A day after their arrest, excavations began in the village of Kalludër in Zubin Potok, where the remains of 23 Albanian civilians from Mitrovica, known as the “group of intellectuals,” are suspected. They were abducted on April 19, 1999. Now, 27 years later, their fate has not been fully clarified.
A day earlier, acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during a visit to this __cpLocation, said that excavations could take months, due to the distribution of mortal remains and the difficult terrain.
Kurti called on the United States and the European Union to exert pressure on Serbia to declassify documentation related to war crimes committed in Kosovo.
And on Wednesday, the country's authorities published for the first time the preliminary list of war victims. In it, 1,577 people are recorded as having been forcibly disappeared during the war.
The Serbian List has reacted, saying that on Sunday alone, several people were arrested and several houses were raided.

The presence of mortal remains is confirmed at the third suspected location in Zubin-Potok.
"This behavior constitutes a serious violation of human rights and further sows fear and insecurity among the Serbian population. It is absolutely unacceptable to terrorize an entire municipality under the pretext of an investigation into suspected war crimes. Not everyone who was of age in 1999 can be declared potential war criminals," the response states.
"Kossev" has also reported, citing sources, about other arrests. It wrote that a Serb was arrested in Jarinje and another in Zubin-Potok.
