The Special Prosecutor's Office has announced that two people have been arrested in the public enterprise "Palace of Youth" for the criminal offense related to misuse of official duties. During this operation, a check was carried out in the work premises of the suspects, where 2 mobile phones, important documents for the investigative procedure and 1 firearm with 10 cartridges were seized.
Two people were arrested on Monday in the action of the Special Prosecutor's Office in the public enterprise "Palace of Youth".
Arrested are the officials FR, who held the position of procurement manager and is currently the deputy head of security, as well as AZ, the former acting head of the enterprise, now part of the finance office.
They are suspected of abuse of office.
"During this action, the investigators of the Sector for the Investigation of Economic Crimes by the Kosovo Police have arrested two persons suspected of illegal embezzlement of funds during the year 2022 at the Youth Palace in Pristina. During this action, a detailed check was carried out in the work premises of the suspects, where they seized: 2 mobile phones, important documents for the investigative procedure, 1 firearm with 10 cartridges", it is stated in the notice of the Prosecution after the end of the action 4- hours.
And through an announcement, this company announced that it is cooperating with the relevant authorities for the investigation launched by the Economic Crimes Unit.
"The Board of Directors of NPL 'Pallati i Rinia' J.A. in response to the investigation launched by the Economic Crimes Unit, we inform the public that we are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities. We have offered and will continue to offer full access to the Palace, as well as we have opened all our data according to their requests", says the announcement of the board of this company.
In the announcement of the company, it is stated that it will continue to be open for the clarification of any aspect related to this case.
