The Democratic League of Kosovo has reached an agreement on a coalition with the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo in the capital. AAK in governance in Pristina will have three directorates, that of Administration, of Sport and the Directorate of Mobility. Vetëvendosje, the party with the largest number of assembly members, expressed skepticism that this coalition will bring positive changes, and PDK said that this agreement was made with the aim of passing the Municipal Development Plan
A few months after the collapse of the coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Democratic League of Kosovo in Pristina has reached an agreement with the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, with the rationale of increasing the efficiency of project implementation.
The continuous support that AAK has given to LDK in the last sessions has been rewarded with the leadership of three directorates.
Kushtrim Mushica will be appointed instead of the director of Sport, Bardh Krasniqi, while Valbona Vitija-Ajeti will be appointed instead of the director of Administration, Vigan Kastrati.
The municipality will have an additional directorate, bringing it to 18, which will also be led by AAK.
"The coalition has already been reached, the two directorates belong to the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, the Sports directorate and the Administration directorate. While the mobility directorate remains undefined, the mobility directorate will be separated from the Public Services directorate and will belong to the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo", said the spokesperson of the Municipality of Pristina, Donat Lushaku.
Through a press release, on Monday, the Municipality announced that Bardh Krasniqi will continue working with an important role in the planning and organizational structures of the 2030 Mediterranean Games, together with Vigan Kastrati.
The head of the group of assemblymen of Vetëvendosje in Prishtina, Gëzim Sveçla, has said that within a single mandate, the citizens of Pristina managed to see in the executive all political subjects except the party to which it belongs.
"Without wanting to prejudge what will happen in the future and how this coalition will function, the fact is that the citizen of Pristina managed or will manage to see all the political parties represented in the executive within a single mandate the municipal assembly, of course with the exception of the Vetëvendosje Movement!, which is staying consistent in its principles and goals. The governance model that Mr. Rama and LDK have offered during these 3 years makes us very skeptical and suspicious that these changes of the coalition partners will bring any positive changes to the city", said Sveçla.
Leutrim Retkoceri, the head of the group of PDK assemblymen, has emphasized that this coalition shows the great pressure that the mayor Pëparim Rama has, to pass the Municipal Development Plan.
"For the very fact that the director of Urbanism has been relieved of his duties and appointed to a directorate that he extinguished 6 months earlier, this shows the great pressure that Parparim Rama has from the interests to pass the municipal development plan. The change of directors every three months shows the instability and not the competence of Përparim Rama against the government in the capital. It is worth noting that we have seen this coalition since the exchange of properties in Badoc and it is good that the secret coalition is finally being revealed", declared Ratkoceri.
Even with the new coalition, the Rama Government does not have the numbers to pass the Development Plan for Pristina, without the votes of VV or PDK.
