Almost a month after the Government of Kosovo decided to halve the budget for the project for the Museum of Natural History, the Minister of Culture, Vlora Dumoshi, visited the workshop.
With this year's Budget Appropriations Law, 100 euros were determined from the consolidated budget and another 162 from the revenues of the Kosovo Privatization Agency.
If the deputies approve the revision of the budget in the current framework, only 75 thousand euros will be available for the Museum of Natural History.
The total cost of the project is 2.4 million euros. It seems to me that, if the Ministry of Culture continues at this rate, it will take at least 3 decades to finish the works that were calculated to be realized in three years.
The work started in May last year was stopped already in December. It restarted this week.

The Minister of Culture, accompanied by the mayor of Fushë-Kosovo, Burim Berisha, also explained the delays with some design problems.
There is a deadlock exactly in this part, where a kind of balcony of four meters is provided without any supports. The workers say that this part could collapse if it is done in this way.
Regarding the reduction of the budget, the minister said that in the future this project will be a priority.
The contractor company is not satisfied with the progress of the works. They have not given any time frame for when the project might be completed. Engineer Abedin Mehmeti said that the budget is one of the components that affects the progress of the work.

The Museum of Natural History, which is being built in the space known as "Te Pishat" in Slatina, in Fushë-Kosovo, was seen as a solution for over a thousand exhibits, animals and embalmed insects.
The exhibits since December 2017 have been placed in a wooden lodge at the entrance of the "Eminxhiku" complex in Pristina, which has four buildings, two of which house the Ethnological Museum.
