Vash Bridge over the Mat River

Ura e Vaša is located over the river Mat between Klos and the village of Guri i Bardhë, 200 linear meters from Arbëri street.

Built at the beginning of the XVIII century as a charity work by Haxhi Hajrulla Skura.

The bridge is built of stone and limestone mortar and has an arch on the right side and a discharge window.

Also, the bridge has double vaults. The legs of the bridge are placed on two rocky banks.

The length of the bridge is 11m, its height from the water surface is 7m, the width is 2.8m and the distance between the two legs is 7m.

The surface of the bridge is paved with river stone cobbles, limestone mortar and stone rasa.

Ura e Vaša is visited by many Albanian and foreign tourists, even a small sign that reads "Bridge of Vaša" has been placed by Czech tourists.

To enable tourists to visit the Bridge, a road should be opened from Arbëri street to the monument, a not too high cost due to the proximity to the road.

This bridge carries great historical and architectural values, moreover, in a wonderful natural landscape.

Ura e Vasha is one of the oldest bridges of this style built in Albania.

It was declared a cultural monument by the Ministry of Education and Culture with decision no. 2509/1 dated 30.06.1983.
