"T'padashtun" comes with the drama of the consequences of the 1999 war

The Cinematographic Center of Kosovo in cooperation with Kohavision, on Sunday, from 20:30, bring the television premiere of the film "T'padashtun", written and directed by Edon Rizvanolli.

Kosovar actress Adriana Matoshi and Dutch actor Jason de Ridder appear in the main roles in the film, while the film is a drama that deals with the consequences and traumas caused by the 1999 war in Kosovo. "T'padashtun" deals with the story of a teenager, who lives with his Kosovar mother in Amsterdam and whose return to his mother's traumas puts him in front of situations he does not understand. The film was produced in 2017 and was Kosovo's proposal for an "Oscar" nomination for the best film in a foreign language.

It was the Czech Karlovy Vary Film Festival, where in July 2017 "T'padashtun" had its world premiere, and in September 2018 it had its local premiere at "PriFilmFest". He continued his journey at several prestigious "A" category festivals, such as "LA Screenings", the Cairo Film Festival and others.

"T'padashtun" goes beyond the chilling drama of a refugee family from Kosovo, which lives in the Netherlands and faces a love that awakens many wounds of the recent past from the war in Kosovo

of 1999. The characters face an internal struggle that comes as a result of predetermined identities and fates beyond their control. But the main struggle is the one with multiple acceptance: accepting the truth about oneself, in front of the other or accepting a being that was once unwanted. A woman raped by the Serbs, a child born from this sad story, a young love affair that whitens this story, are the triangle within which the narrative of "T'padashtun" is built, which is shown tonight on KTV.
