The entrance is very close to the "Germia" swimming pool. From there to the main stage, the space has been transformed into an open concert environment. The marathon starts at 12:00, when the gates open. Beyond the two-year absence of the "Sunny Hill Festival" due to the pandemic, the "spirit" created together with the explanations of the organizers, give a real possibility for a unique experience in Pristina. The space since Wednesday afternoon has been being arranged in detail, leaving nothing missing from world festivals, including those that are iconic. The performances are also expected to be like this.
This, since already on the first night of the festival, tonight (Thursday) the attendees will follow one of the singers, who today enters the list of artists, who cannot respond to all the invitations, which he receives from all four sides. the world.
Dua Lipa will perform five concerts with thousands of people in front of Pristina in just ten days. On the 25th of July he was in Montreal, two days later in Toronto, he continued on the 28th of July in Chicago to return to Montreal on the last day of the month. "Preparations are going very well. We are very close. These are the final preparations. The stage is done and the small stage is being assembled. The other parts are almost ready", Fat Gjakova, who is part of the "Sunny Hill Festival" organizing staff, said on Wednesday afternoon.
This year, the capacity that the space allows had to be adapted to the number of tickets available. Based on the tickets sold together with the guests, it is expected that about 20 thousand will be present each evening. For four days, the Festival will be attended by about 80 people.
"From noon, the doors open and check-in takes place at the beginning near the pool. Then there is the part of 'Chill zone' where there is food, drinks and different performances on the stage of that part", said Gjakova while she left work for a while to talk about TIME. The part known as "Chill zone" has been adjusted by becoming colorful. Corners made especially for relaxation are part of the mosaic of the space. In the evening, the gates of the big stage will be opened when local and regional artists will perform. Among others, Elvana Gjata will also perform on the first night.
"I suggest that they all come as early as possible, so that they can experience the whole atmosphere of the festival", said Gjakova. Dua Lipa's appearance on stage will be the most magical part of the evening, but also of the entire festival. It is not yet known exactly when the pop star will rock the stage.
"I think the atmosphere will be very good. Every year we are trying to be more qualitative and I think the atmosphere will be phenomenal", said Gjakova.
The big stage is one of those giants allowed inside the space. The dimensions are 30 by 20 meters, while the height reaches five meters.
"It is a stage that accommodates world-renowned artists. The quality is like in big concerts in the world", he said.

"Sunny Hill" takes shape - Pristina resounds
However, this whole event almost got out of Pristina's "hands". In June of this year, when the public's interest had reached its peak and tickets were sold in record numbers, the state institutions did not get along with the organizers and the Festival announced the relocation to Tirana.
After great public pressure, six days later it was announced that a common language has been found with the Government and the Municipality of Pristina.
The three parties have been accusing each other for almost a week. And then it was announced that Tirana will be the host, but through a special edition with a different "line-up" and will be held on August 26, 27 and 28. The preliminary history of displacement according to the Municipality of Pristina was the result of the Government's procrastination. The organizers had talked about the politicization of the process. On May 10, the Municipal Assembly voted in favor of dividing the plot of 17 hectares for the Festival in the village of Brërnicë e Poshtme. However, the Ministry of Local Government Administration, during the evaluation of the legality of the Municipal Assembly's decision, had requested additional documents. It was also requested to renegotiate the usage period of 99 years. The government had publicly acknowledged that the tenure period needed to be negotiated more.
The most vocal against the Municipality's agreement with "Sunny Hill Festival" were the assembly members of the Vetëvendosje Movement, the party that leads the Government. But finally the solution was made, that this year the festival would be held where it started in "Gërmi" with all the reactions of the associations that deal with the environment.
In the first two editions, in 2018 and 2019, "Sunny Hill Festival" had brought big names from the world in music, led by Dua Lipa. The number of those who participated in the concerts reached over 15 thousand every night and "Gërmia" became a place that could not accommodate the public interested in the Festival. Since the first edition, the festival has managed to be in the focus of the international media. This year will be the same. Foreign journalists are already in Pristina, especially for this Festival.
J Balvin, Skepto and Diplo are among the international stars who will be at the Festival alongside other international, local and regional names.
The organizers are working hard to make everything as smooth as possible.
"This year purchases will be made through the digital wallet. The hand-held code is scanned and payments are made for food and drinks. For this, an application must be downloaded and the digital wallet is filled via transfer or our points", explained Fat Gjakova, who is very enthusiastic about this year's edition.
